Rowles, Lawrence N. 87, of N. Mpls, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grand- father. Larry was happiest surrounded by his family and friends, and we are grateful for the love and laughter he shared with us all. He was a long-time Mpls Police Detective, later working with Mpls License Inspections. Preceded in death by beloved wife, Donna; parents, Charles and Catherine Rowles; brothers, Michael and Jack; sister, Patricia Buckvold. Survived by children, Mary Rowles, Matt (Julie), Brian (Cheryl), Janet (Frank) Lynch, Bill (Lisa), Dave (Missy) and Greg (Jean); grandchildren, Erik, Corinne, Martin, Matthew, Anthony, Ellen, Catherine, Vaughn, Jenna, Julia and Justin; great-grandchildren, Finn, Piper, Ben and Jane; sisters, Kathleen Bethke and Nancy Donnelly. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, Jan. 29, at St. Joseph’s Parish Center, 8701 36th Ave N (@ Boone Ave), New Hope, with interment at Gethsemane Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, with a Prayer service at 7:30, at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, and again Wednesday one hour prior to Mass AT CHURCH.
