Berven, Dale F. Age 74, of St. Francis, has left this world to walk beside more peaceful waters on Friday, August 19, 2016. Lt. Berven served 20 years on the Minneapolis Police Department until 1985. Survived by his loving wife Gloria of 55 years and caregiver of 30 years; daughter, Dawn; grandson Brady; and granddaughter-in-law, Amanda. Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 26 at Long Lake Lutheran Church in Isanti. Visitation at 10 AM, service at 11 AM, longlakeluth.org. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to DAV Disabled American Veterans, davmn.org. A special thanks to Spinal Cord unit staff at the Minneapolis VA Hospital, and staff at Minneapolis Veterans Home of Minneapolis, especially building 6, floor 2 and building 21.
