Arneson, Donald Lee age 88, of St. Louis Park, MN went to live with his Lord on Monday, July 7, 2014. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores; brother, Marvin; sisters, Mabel and Irene. He is survived by daughters, Cynthia (Robert) Stahlke and Cheryl (Gregory) Smith; grandchildren, Cassandra (Courtney) Hall, Kristin (Matthew) Poske, Graham (Laura) Smith and Evan (Amy) Smith; great-granddaughters, Aubrey and Sadie Poske, and Hadley Hall; nieces and nephews. Donald was born March 16, 1926 in Hendricks, MN to Halfdan and Inga Arneson who also preceded him in death. He loved his family very much, his many friends, and his church family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is a Navy Veteran of WWII and served 38 years on the Mpls. Police Dept. as a Patrolman, Detective and Captain. Service 11 AM Friday, July 11, 2014 at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 3751 Sheridan Ave North, Mpls., MN 55412 with visitation one hour prior to the service.
