John Delmonico joined the Minneapolis Police Department in 1988. He is president of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis, a position he has held since 1999. He has served on the Federation's Board of Directors since 1989.
Prior to assuming the Federation presidency, Delmonico served in the Third and Fourth Precincts. H was promoted to sergeant in 1994 and worked as an investigator in the Juvenile Unit, and in the Robbery Unit. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2007. Prior to joining the department, he was a police officer for the City of Zimmerman, Minn.; and a security officer for Hennepin County Medical Center for eight years.
Delmonico, a Minneapolis native received an associate of arts degree from Lakewood Community College in White Bear Lake Minnesota, a bachelor of science degree from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minn.; and a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minn. He has taught at Metro State University since 2005. |

Director : Sgt. Wally Krueger Krueger joined the Minneapolis Police Department in 1988. He is a Director on the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis, a position he has held since 1998. Krueger is currently the supervisor of the bomb squad prior to this position, Krueger has worked in the 3rd Precinct, 4th Precinct, the street crimes division and as an arson investigator. Krueger is also the secretary/treasurer of the Police Officers Alliance of Minnesota where he has served on the board of directors since 2002. Krueger, a native of Mound, Minnesota, is a member of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators. |

Secretary : Lt. Bruce Jensen
Jensen started with the Minneapolis Police in 1993 and after completing his initial academy training, he was assigned as a patrol officer to the 3rd PCT Dog Watch and Middle Watch. In 1999, Jensen transferred to the Traffic Unit and worked the Middle Watch until 2003 when he transferred to CID (Criminal Investigative Division) as an investigator. In 2007, Jensen moved back to the 3rd PCT as a street supervisor on the Middle Watch. In 2011, Jensen transferred to the 2nd PCT Middle Watch as a shift lieutenant and later was assigned as the investigative lieutenant where he is assigned today.
Jensen has been awarded the Medal of Valor, the Medal of Commendation twice and the Unit Citation twice. He has been recognized federally for his work with a special citation from the USPIS.
Jensen served in the US Army in numerous assignments/components actively from 1987 to 2008.
First elected to the Police Officer’s Federation of Minneapolis in 2002; Jensen has been very active in Federation activities. Jensen has been heavily involved in running the Federation as its corporate secretary. Jensen has been involved in: the negotiations of numerous contracts, representation of officers through the IA and CRA process, representations at critical incidents and the grievance process. Jensen has been very active politically working hard in the Federation’s legislative efforts at all levels. Jensen was elected to the Police Officer’s Alliance of Minnesota and serves as a director.

Treasurer : Sgt. Lyall Delaney Delaney joined the
Minneapolis Police Department in 1990 and has served on the Federation Board
since 1998. Lyall currently works full-time in the Federation Office and prior
to that he worked in the 4th Precinct. Delaney has served as treasurer of the Federation since 1998. |

Vice President : Lt. Bob Kroll Kroll joined the MPD in 1989 and is currently The Domestic Assault Unit Commander. Previously he supervised 2nd Precinct Patrol, STOP patrol, Water Works, Booking, Public Housing, and 3rd Precinct patrol. He has worked Investigations in Juvenile, Fraud Forgery, and Vice Squad. He worked as a patrol officer in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Precincts.
Kroll, a native of St Paul, received an A.A. in Law Enforcement from Lakewood Community College and a B.S. in Police Science from St. Mary’s University.
Kroll was a member of the SWAT team from 1991- 2007, serving as a supervisor since 1996.
Kroll completed 21 years in the U. S. Army Reserve Military Police, retiring in 2004.
Kroll has served on the Federation Board since 1996, and has been Vice President since 2006. |

Director : Sgt. Ron Stenerson Stenerson is a sergeant in the Central Investigations Division. Previously, Stenerson was a sergeant investigator in the MPD's Juvenile Unit, the Third Percinct Community Response team and a patrol officer in the Third Precinct. Prior to joining the department, Stenerson was a safety director with Carl Bolander and Sons Co., where he researched and wrote corporate safety policy and conducted work-site safety inspections. He also was a security police officer during four years of active duty with the United States Air Force. Stenerson was named Police Officer of the Year by the Minneapolis Police and Peace Officers Association in 2000, and was named Juvenile Police Officer of the Year in 1999 by the Minnesota Juvenile Officers Association. He has been awarded a Medal of Valor for an act of bravery that demonstrates obvious self-sacrifice in the face of death or serious physical injury; two Medals of Commendation for outstanding police acts that bring credit to the department, are highly recognized by other officers or citizens and are characterized by obvious self-sacrifice while in the face of personal danger; and a Department Award of Merit for an outstanding act or achievement that brings credit to the department. Stenerson, a native of Minneapolis, received an associate of arts degree in law enforcement from North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, Minn. Stenerson has served on the Federation's board since 2001. |

Director : Off. Sherral Schmidt Schmidt joined the Minneapolis Police Department in 1996 and has served as a Director on the board since 2004. Currently she is assigned to the 4th Precinct as a patrol officer. She is a member of the Crisis Intervention Team, the fitness team, and an instructor for the academy. She holds a B.A. from Metropolitan State University and a M.A. in Police Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. |
